Job Description

As an Estimating Coordinator, you will prepare precise cost estimates for mechanical insulation projects, analyze drawings, conduct material takeoffs, and support bid preparation. You will collaborate closely with U.S. counterparts, ensuring accurate project scoping, pricing, and documentation across HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems.

The Qualifications We Seek

• Mechanical Engineering Degree (or similar)
• Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
• 3–5 years of takeoff & estimating experience for pipe and duct
• Senior-level expertise in mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing)
• Ability to read mechanical drawings (HVAC, plumbing)
• Knowledge of duct and pipe material connections and accessories
• Strong Excel skills (can create worksheets with formulas)
• Experience using takeoff software

Your Daily Tasks

• Analyze project plans, specs, and documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for insulation work
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, process piping, and mechanical equipment
• Develop complete estimates including labor, material, and overhead
• Review drawings to identify requirements, risks, and challenges
• Identify value engineering opportunities or cost-saving alternatives
• Ensure all bid documents and addenda are included
• Prepare and submit timely, professional bid proposals
• Support handoff to operations by communicating key estimating details
• Assist in pricing change orders and evaluating cost impacts
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and building codes
• Stay current on industry trends, insulation materials, and installation methods
